a departure from my usual mediums to try out linocut printmaking! I’ve been looking at a lot of Jose Guadalupe Posada’s stuff from the days of the Mexican Revolution- you can see my draft on the bottom left. I think I was a little too ambitious! Still happy with it 💀🇲🇽
Nearly done with this one. The Gulf War is a really interesting conflict to me that set the stage for so much in the 21st century. “Yesterday, at the beginning of the ground war, Iraq had the fourth largest army in the world. Today, they have the second largest army in Iraq.”
WIP 🐪🐪🐪🐪🇮🇶… Excited for this one, as this is my first shot at heavy burn damage and shell impacts. I think it needs pigments for a little more texture, but I’ve never used them before.
