In light of the Prime Minister @masrourbarzani’s visit to Baghdad, it is important to recognize that the KRG can be a strong source of innovation and capacity for Iraq. From Digital Identity, payroll, border control, and company registration systems to Runaki and MyAccount, the KRG has built valuable digital capabilities. KRDPass in particular represents a next-generation platform for secure authentication and digital service delivery.
He draws a salary from US taxpayers while serving the interests of Turkey and Qatar. Furthermore, his documented email exchanges with Jeffrey Epstein are disqualifying. It is time to remove this man; he should be in jail, not representing the United States as an ambassador.
We were at a family gathering outside Erbil, enjoying a peaceful spring day, when projectiles flew overhead and struck nearby. Far from any border and without provocation, the attack reportedly hit KDPI positions, resulting in the martyrdom of several people. We saw wounded people, some covered in blood, being helped by local residents. Shameful, barbaric, and pointless.
#Anfal — a single word that carries thousands of stories.
Thousands disappeared.
Thousands of women were taken.
Thousands of children suffocated.
For those who survived — the wound remains, even after 37 years.
Anfal is not just history. It is memory. It is pain.
The responsibility lies with the Ba’ath regime of Saddam Hussein — a crime that was never fully brought to justice.

These terrorist Iranians don’t understand what a ceasefire means when it comes to the Kurds.
Since the start of the war between the U.S./Israel and the terrorist state of Iran, they have carried out near-daily attacks on Kurdish political parties from East Kurdistan based in Southern Kurdistan.
The Persian Islamic regime’s primary enemy is the Kurds–then the Jews.
On the 38th anniversary of the Anfal genocide, we remember one of the darkest chapters in Kurdish history. Thousands were lost, and entire villages were erased.
Today and Always, we honor the martyrs whose sacrifices shaped today’s Kurdistan.
Erdogan is NOT pro Kurdish, he’s extremely anti-Kurdish!
He is responsible for the massacre of thousands of Kurds in Rojava! Don’t try to deny that, the world knows who set ISIS on us!
Further, 2 million Arabs living in Israel freely speak Arabic, their language and cultural rights are protected in their constitution.
Israel doesn’t force Hebrew or Jewishness on them, nor do they try to assimilate them!
In Turkey Kurds DON’T exist in the constitution! Our existence, our language, our culture is denied and banned! Our history erased by your made up history books and corrupt politicians/so called academics!
We Kurds have been through more massacres than anyone else in the Middle East!
Don’t you dare imply Kurds have any rights in turkey! We have no voice, no basic human rights in the country! We are massacred, tortured and oppressed for over a century by your kemalist/fascist state!!
All Kurdish X accounts are censored in turkey!! Stop it with your lies!
Kurds are not “citizens” of Erdogan or any other state to whom rights have been granted; they are a nation with a distinct identity and defined rights that have been suppressed for years in Turkey and Iran, and have been subjected to domination and occupation of their lands.
If stability and normal state behavior are truly the goal, supporting the Kurds is the most effective course of action in any regional policy. At the very least, under the current conditions, particularly in Iran, supporting the Kurds is a necessity. If this support is realized and Kurds attain their rights, it could reshape the existing order and make a path toward broader peace and the reduction of radicalism in the region more attainable. It would also compel the Turkish government and Erdogan to change their approach.
@netanyahu
We are not “his own citizens.” Turkey is not Kurdistan, and it is not the homeland of the Kurds. Turkey occupies the largest part of our lands ,hope this helps
A regime that sends an assassin with an active arrest warrant to a “ceasefire” isn’t negotiating, it’s flaunting impunity.
Mohammed Jafari Saharoodi, implicated in the unlawful killing of Kurdish opposition Dr. Abdul Rahman Ghassemlou and 2 of his delegates, is part of Iran’s death squad present today with @VP@JDVance.

Israeli PM @netanyahu hits back at the Turkish president @RTErdogan: "Israel under my leadership will continue to fight Iran’s terror regime and its proxies, unlike Erdogan who accommodates them and massacred his own Kurdish citizens."
Turkish President @RTErdogan has recently compared Israeli PM Netanyahu to Adolf Hitler and condemned Israeli parliament’s decision to impose the death penalty on Palestinian prisoners, saying it is “essentially no different from Hitler’s policies against Jews.”
While Iran does not trust the U.S., it has previously assassinated Kurdish leader Abdul Rahman Ghassemlou during peace negotiations.
"Dr. Ghassemlou was assassinated in Vienna on July 13, 1989, by the agents of the Islamic Republic of Iran. Dr. Ghassemlou was in Austria to negotiate with Iranian representatives on Kurdish rights and self-government for Iranian Kurdistan." - @PDKIenglish
Iran’s delegation in Pakistan includes Mohammad Jafari Sahraroudi. He was the commander of the death squad that on July 13, 1989, assassinated Kurdish leader Dr. Abdul Rahman Ghassemlou and two of his aides during peace negotiations in Vienna, Austria.
Austrian police issued an international arrest warrant for him on December 22, 1989. In order to cover up his terrorist and criminal record Sahraroudi has been using the name “Jafari” for many years and has removed “Sahraroudi” from his last name.
Statement from the Ministry of Interior of the Kurdistan Region
Despite the Kurdistan Regional Government’s longstanding commitment to peace and stability, its clear position that it has not been and will not become part of war or regional tensions, and despite the announcement of a ceasefire in the area, several drone attacks targeted different locations across the Kurdistan Region at various times on the night of Thursday, 9 April 2026. The drones were intercepted and destroyed.
The Kurdistan Region and its citizens had been looking forward to a return to normal conditions. Unfortunately, however, terrorists and malicious actors, who cannot tolerate the peace and progress of our country, continue their acts of aggression.
We reaffirm our support for peace and stability and call on all sides to halt these attacks and to refrain from targeting the stability and peace of Kurdistan or the interests of its citizens.
