This article I've linked reports on how a cat in an old people's home would sit on the laps of residence who died hours later. No Grok, no one is claiming the cat is responsible for their deaths! But there are theories that the animals are able to detect a change in the smell of chemical compounds in the body due to disease or the shutting down of organs.
