"Right behind ya."

"Or they were never wrapped too tight to begin with. Not like your in the running for father of the year. But that's besides the point.

You on the other hand, have me questioning whether or not the world actually needs anymore Hanma's."

"...You know? I'm not sure which disturbs me more. The fact that they're women who supposedly 𝙬𝙖𝙣𝙩 to have a child with you.

Or the fact that you may end up fathering another child before I even have my first."

@QueenOFists --a human being...or if he was ever really one to begin with..."

After hearing that she had an encounter with his father, Baki blitzed his way over to @QueenOFists's apartment. Proceeding to knock frantically on her door.

If he knocked any harder, he just may damage the hinges on her door. "Makoto! Are you in there!? Answer me!"

@QueenOFists "Yeah...he's definitely"something" alright..." He stated in a bit of a melancholy tone as he position his elbows onto his thighs and held his hands clasped together. Looking down at the glass table in front of them at his reflection.

"I sometimes wonder if he's even still--

"...."

Silence would soon envelope the area as all that could be heard was his father's distinct laughing as he walked off. But still being worried about Makoto, Baki would quickly turn on his heel and blitz off, heading for her place.

"I swear...you better not have lied..."

@QueenOFists "Oh. Well...okay."

He would follow her inside as she lightly tugged him in. Taking a look around her place, as this was the first time he had ever been inside her home.

"Nice place."

@QueenOFists Upon feeling her take his hand into hers, his eyes widened a bit as he looked at their hands, before looking back up at her.

"I...I don't want to feel like I'm getting in the way of your rest...I know how busy you are...I know your sister is here too and...it's a long story.."

@QueenOFists "Now you see why I was so reluctant to talk about him...But, dealing with me. I had a feeling he would find out about us eventually...strangely for him to be such a bastard. Nothing I do ever gets by him."

He said with a bit of a frown in his eyes as he released her shoulders.

@QueenOFists After hearing her confirm that she was not hurt, as well as seeing nothing upon her body and that she appeared to be fine. He would release a sigh of relief past his lips.

"Alright...I...just needed to be sure...I'm sorry if I scared you at all."

@QueenOFists --do anything. He still wanted to verify her condition for himself.

@QueenOFists Once Makoto finally opened the door, Baki immediately place his hands upon her shoulder, examining every inch of her body carefully.

"He didn't hurt you did he? No bruises? Nothing broken?"

He asked while still checking her over, because although his father said he didn't--

"I'll...be sure to keep that mind..."

It was rare that he showed any sort of support towards him for...well. Anything. So hearing him say that was a bit surprising.

"But for now...If you're not here to try and beat my brains in. Can I go? Makoto and I actually have a date."

"She...She did that?"

That surprised even him, he knew Makoto had nerves of steel. But to of stood her ground with his father of all people? That alone made her quite special in his eyes.

"Well...Yeah. She's definitely a tough cookie...Wouldn't have her any other way either."

Such blatant audacity. Although he knew to never expect anything less when it came to his father, it still pissed him off regardless.

"You got some nerve, you know that?....I better not hear you scared her...or worse."

"...!!?"

His eyes would grow wide for a breief moment before turning around to face his father.

"Dad!? How the hell did you--!?"

"Nijima Makoto..." He said her name softly, letting it weigh in his mind for a moment before offering her a small smile while looking at her.

"Nice name."

[Ｑｕｅｅｎ ｏｆ Ｊｕｓｔｉｃｅ @QueenOFists]

Makoto's eyes slightly widen. How could she forget to give him her name. Then again those were very befuddling times. She was so focused on finding her student, that she didn't bother to give her name.

❝It's Makoto,❞ She finally says. Her eyes meeting his now. ❝Nijima ----

"....." (What's this girl's deal?)

He thought to himself as he proceeded to follow close behind her. A look of perplexity donning on his face.

"Oh yeah? And what do you usually offer then? Beat downs?...Also, just Baki is fine. Think we're past the point of formalities now."

The sound of her stomach rumbling immediately cut through all the tension that was in the air between them.

Resulting in a surprised expression on his face as the aura created between them soon dissipated.

"Oh. It's uh...Baki. Baki Hanma. And...I guess I got some time to kill."
