@JReyzor @PicturesFoIder When I got my masters, my assignments were always due Sundays at 11:59pm. I worked full time, had two kids to take care of, & often had 3-4 assignments (usually essays) due. Some got done well before the deadline, others were minutes before. This prof is dead wrong & so are you.

@Mr_Rablin I just finished my Master’s online & every class had weekly discussion requirements. I got the most out of prompts that allowed us to integrate course content with our own experiences. Some instructors didn’t allow personal pronouns/anecdotes and those were absolutely pointless.

Dear people paying for Audible,
You can get books to read for free from your local Public Library, or even one not so local…many give cards out for free online. Stop paying Amazon to get to read audiobooks, when you can support a Library who will loan it to you for free!

This is absolutely unacceptable.

Fantastic first day at #wla2023! So much to absorb. Something that resonated from the school lib division unconference: “It isn’t just about taking books off the shelf or not. Ultimately it’s about whose stories are being told and whose are not.” Truth!

@HeofHIshirts It was such a great session! Can’t wait to explore these titles further. 🤩

@TchKimPossible I really loved it. Not sure I’ve ever seen a surprise second person POV chapter dropped into the middle of a novel like that… beautiful.

[Hanna Buehrer @HannaBuehrer]

@heymrsbond Truth. There’s a grade level-specific group I stay in even though I’m now a librarian, because I’m one of the only people who will say “Hey, maybe you shouldn’t do Elf on the Shelf in your public school classroom…” 🤔

I'm tired of people dunking on Dav Pilkey's books. They are 100% written for kids with zero consideration for what parents want, and that's why they're a huge hit. Do I want to read them? Not really. But my son tore through them and laughed his head off and that makes me happy.

i've been conducting my dissertation interviews with black girls in middle school. one question i ask is where do they feel the most like they belong when at school. so many girls have mentioned the library, so i went to check it out with one participant.

horrible news. been starting my days with 20-30 min of light yoga and unfortunately it really makes a difference, mentally and physically. i’m so sorry

[Lousy Librarian @LousyLibrarian]

“Hi, if I come to your library later will there be someone there who can answer my questions?”
“Sure. What are your questions about?”
“Everything.”
“Perfect, that’s one of our specialties.”

@kestrelsward TikTok is pretty fun and full of lots of good ed/library content! It's not a replacement but I like it.

Hey fellow educators, I recently did an inquiry project exploring the value of graphic novels for elementary readers. I made this infographic to share that research easily, and now I'm putting it here for anyone who could use it! https://t.co/gzF0h66QKk #librarytwitter
