I don’t normally stay up late reading, but I did because I couldn’t put I’ll Tell You No Lies down! I tried! But I kept picking it back up 😅 I did physically stop myself from digging around in my boxes for The Silent Unseen though. I did that this morning 😂
@GinPhillips17 I grew up in Michigan and everyone had a storm door. I moved to Tennessee and it’s not as common in my new neighborhood at all. There are some houses with them, but most don’t.

It has officially been 1 week since I started writing again & I wrote 15k words, did some major timeline work, minor revisions and plotting. Also had a minor mental breakdown because apparently in the 2 years since I last wrote consistently I forgot books aren't written overnight
I am writing a contemporary YA crime/murder mystery...having never read a murder mystery/crime book until a few weeks ago. It's turning out to be much harder than I thought and dang I just need to go back to fantasy. Thankfully my CPs are big fans so they keep me on my toes
It never occurred to me I may need a timeline of events. When people being killed, is there a time gap between them dying and their bodies being found? What about the investigation? How does the killer not get caught?
I am on my third attempt at putting the puzzle together
On top of reading more books than I have in YEARS, I also somehow found my way back to writing and I'm so happy! In the final week of 2022 I wrote over 14k words and I'm still plugging away. Even 6 months ago I couldn't have imagined this was how my year would end 😭
I read 51 books this year 😱 on a goal of 15. Jan-Sept I read 17 book and Oct-Dec I read 34 books.
I have to give a lot of credit to both the Caraval series and Bluebird because I read those books right after each other and they all contributed to bringing back my passion.
