Dear @EnvAgency.

In February this year, after 4 years of asking you to look after the Aldersbrook, I led a team of volunteers to do your job for you & clean out tonnes of silt & leaves, as well as hundreds of bags of rubbish. Through the effort of community volunteers & donations, & at zero cost to the taxpayer, we turned a forgotten silted up ditch back into a river again.

Last nights intense rain storm showed why our actions are the very definition of ��strengthening water resilience”. A huge amount of rain fell in a short time, but the restored section of the Aldersbrook has been able to hold 100’s of thousands of litres more water, stopping this water running into the Roding, & thereby *reducing* local flood risk. The first photograph below is of the Aldersbrook after the rains this morning- a big contrast to the area before we did the work.

Perhaps more importantly, this water, instead of running straight off into the Roding & hence the sea is now being held in the Aldersbrook & gradually released so it can be used by nature. It is feeding marshes, trees & wildlife, topping up groundwater & helping to reduce our flood/drought cycle. If you want to strengthen water resilience, we need thousands more projects like the Aldersbrook around the country.

So the question I ask you, Environment Agency, is why you are threatening me with two years imprisonment, rather than offering to meet & discuss how we can work together to restore the Roding & its tributaries, which could become a blueprint for you cooperating with local river guardians nationwide?

Our local priorities:

Safer streets for women and girls - tackling the gangs of foreign men who harass and intimidate local women and girls in Ashton, and elsewhere across the constituency and the Wigan Borough.

Fight reckless overdevelopment in areas including South Hindley, and Winstanley - roads, dentists and GPs must come before responsible house building provided for local families.

Improved SEND support for those in genuine need - we must avoid overdiagnosis, but also provide proper investment to those who need it. Including a constituency-wide investment programme for the improvement and maintenance of children’s playgrounds.

Tackle anti-social behaviour in Ashton and elsewhere - no-nonsense, visible policing to crack down on criminal activity in our towns. Parents too must be held responsible for what their children are inflicting on the community. We say enough is enough.

Restore our high streets - push for free car parking to drive footfall, abolish business rates to reinvigorate our town centres and deliver a full investigation into the explosion of vape shops and Turkish barbers for trading standards/immigration non-compliance.

We are in this to win it.

Official documents reveal how the UK Government is actively funding geoengineering experiments, including plans to modify the atmosphere over Scotland and design space-based sun-dimming technologies.

Following a Freedom of Information request tip-off sent by a member of the audience, I reviewed internal proposals and funding records in detail. Here is what they show:

- The government’s “Exploring Climate Cooling” programme is funding aircraft-based Cirrus Cloud Modification to achieve a measurable global cooling effect.

- The project is structured in phases. Phase 3 involves releasing engineered seeding particles from aircraft over the Scottish Highlands, likely operating from Stornoway.

- No environmental impact assessment has been completed. ARIA confirms that no public consultation has taken place.

- A second project, the Planetary Sunshade Baseline Survey, explores orbital solar radiation modification using asteroid dust, diffractive materials, and satellite reflectors stationed at SEL1.

- Researchers are using CESM and GeoMIP modelling to simulate global impacts, including ozone layer disruption and risks to ocean chemistry.

ARIA confirms the programme is 100% taxpayer-funded and denies any involvement from Bill Gates or related foundations, signalling reputational sensitivity around solar geoengineering.

This marks a shift from theoretical modelling to real-world atmospheric intervention, with no public awareness or parliamentary debate.
