In an ordinary nursing home, show me the daily pharmaceutical duty that a BPharm pharmacist performs which a properly trained, licensed and competent Pharmaceutical Technologist cannot perform within their scope. We both manage medicines, dispense prescriptions, counsel patients, monitor stock and expiry, ensure proper storage and promote patient safety. A degree may provide broader academic and specialist training, but it does not mean a BPharm pharmacist is automatically necessary for every routine pharmacy activity.

@opanga_SAPhD How do you save life by dispensing drugs you import from India? According to you, it's right for a certificate nurse to prescribe for you drugs in a Health centre so that you dispense but a Pharmaceutical Technogists who have worked in the service more than you is not allowed.

Why can't you just say that you want to import Bulk drugs from India so that you do your business without competetion. Importation of bulk drugs does not need a degree, even a house help can do.

There is no way dispensing drugs by Pharmtechs can make drugs to be unsafe for use by consumers. Unless the manufacturers made them to be unsafe for users.

@WilliamsRuto ever wondered why cost of medicines is so high in Kenya? Well,we have laws and regulations that allows only a small clique in PSK control the supply chain (imports and wholesale dealerships) ,the cartels have discretion to set the prices as they wish @MOH_Kenya
