Zaw Min Tun, junta spokesman, said today that they launched airstrikes on KNU brigade 5 to keep the minimal casualties as there could be more if they attack on land.

Air strikes have cause 20 civilians died and over 30,000 had to abandon their homes.

A 83-years-old grandma from Sihat was killed as hit by a heavy artillery shell. The villagers said there are some unexploded ordnance.
