A year ago. my fist doc “The Gun Chase” premiered, investigating the source of #GUNviolence . The takeaways? Criminals don’t care about a #gunban, most crime guns are smuggled in & the best way to combat violence is to deal with root causes. https://t.co/Nvbeu3kAyp #onpoli
When violent offenders commit violent crimes they should receive longer sentences and be kept in custody longer.not bail!Violent criminals should not be released early and then people or governments wonder what Happened when more are victimized. #letsgetthisright#letsdobetter.
We need to have stronger laws. Increased offences and stricter restrictions on bail when firearms are used. We have far too many victims who deserve much better and future victims who I would rather prevent from being harmed @HaltonPolice@HPBoard @HRPA_President @joe_warmington
Let’s be clear “Guns kill people” and criminals use illegal handguns #illegalfirearms In Ontario 85-90% of handguns used in serious crimes are traced to the USA.Let’s do something about that. And let’s put in place stronger laws around using firearms in criminal offences

It was a privilege for @YouthLinkYYC to host the inaugural “Speaker Series” webinar for the Calgary Police Youth Foundation. Cst. Alvin and Cst. Yadpreet, who work the frontline, volunteered their time to deliver important information on gangs and drugs in #yyc. #crimeprevention
The majority of my duties today has been assisting with social media on the escort of Sgt. Andrew Harnett.
I am honored to serve #Calgary & appreciate the amazing turnout of people who attended the procession or watched online.
I'm now sharing your posts with our members.
This was incredibly moving to witness. @CalgaryPolice officers salute Sgt. Andrew Harnett as his body is transported during a police procession. It was a privilege to line the route alongside so many police and citizens to honour his #service & #sacrifice ❤️ #Wewillremember#rip
Sgt. Andrew Harnett joined the Calgary Police Service 12 years ago and dutifully served our community with bravery and integrity. A dedicated family man and a loyal friend, who was loved by all. Thank u for your service. I was humbled to be a part of our tribute to u last night.
It has been brought to our attention that @CalgaryPolice Sergeant, & Hagersville native, Andrew Harnett was a life-long Tiger-Cats fan.
On behalf of the Club & Ticats fans everywhere, we want to thank Andrew for his service. Our sincerest condolences to his family & friends.
