"Oh my goodness. One of the worst trades in a long while by the Mets" – Keith Hernandez sounds distraught as he watches Pete Crow-Armstrong round the bases
I've heard stories about how shameless EA / 2K can be, but I REFUSE to believe they've ever done their community as cutthroat as @SonySanDiego has this year. The worst product they could ever put out followed by lies. Their only priority was making it harder for people to earn stubs. They nerfed BR rewards & capped the number of cards you could invest in. They spent all their time planning how to squeeze more money out of their customers instead of figuring out how to give their customers a game worth playing. These server issues are fucking disgusting. They somehow have taken 10 steps back from where they were at FIVE YEARS AGO. The fact the people behind @MLBTheShow still are employed is a miracle in itself. You don't even know how to fix the records in the loading screen? Resign. Step down. This job isn't for you.
Take one look at any form of social media. It doesn't disgust you how much everyone hates your game? How your company name has become a meme & a laughing stock?
I hope every time you guys put out a tweet about your servers not working you look in the mirror & realize how incompetent you look as a company. Thankfully I'll always be here to remind you day in & day out until you guys get your shit in order. Your loyal customers deserve better than this.
Just wanted to highlight how ridiculous the 1st inning of Kerry Wood’s 20K masterpiece was:
- 100mph to the umps face to start the game
- What HoFer Craig Biggio called his most embarrassing swing of his career
- Strikes out NL batting leader Derek Bell on possibly the nastiest, definition of fall-off-the-table, curveball you’ve ever seen
- Strikes out HoFer and one of the greatest fastball hitters…on three fastballs.
-Just absolutely disgusting stuff
- Kerry Wood Forever
Major League Baseball is aired in the morning for Japan. So technically they eat breakfast with it being on television.
Here’s their #openingday commercial. No hyperbole, when I say this, it might be greater than any US MLB commercial I’ve seen. Well done and worth the watch for any baseball fan.
Happy Birthday, Elias Koteas.
One of the most underrated actors of his generation, Some Kind of Wonderful, Fallen, Zodiac, The Prophecy… he’s always outstanding. He's incredible in The Thin Red Line. Standing out amongst this cast takes real skill. This is spectacular.
A quick post about five-star catches...
A 5-star outfield play is one deemed by Statcast to be caught by 25% of MLB outfielders or fewer.
There were 2,688 5-star catch opportunities in the league in 2025. Only 192 of them were caught (7.1%).
Pete Crow-Armstrong caught NINETEEN five-star plays:
-He caught 59.4% of his opportunities (19-32)
-It's a Statcast record, the previous record was 12
-He made 10% of all the 5-star catches in the league
-No other OF has exceeded ten 5-star plays since 2017-
-With eight more, PCA will be the all-time leader (2016-)
@JB_Rad619@EdSpecial24@ChefBoyRLeee@RawlingsSports PCA leads the league in OAA and is 2nd among OF in fielding run value. Arm plays into it, but isn’t even close to enough to deserve a platinum glove.
