Two Japanese sayings came to mind while reading this.

The first is "Sode furi au mo tasho no en." Even brushing sleeves with a stranger comes from a bond in a past life. Meeting someone is never just chance.

The second is "ichigo ichie." Every meeting happens only once, so treasure it. It comes from the tea ceremony, where the host treats each gathering as if it will never happen again.

You thought you were just giving away an extra muffin. But you met him through a bond, and you treated every Tuesday like it mattered.

That muffin was never extra. It was meant for him.
