If you left your fur-hooded jacket on a circle line train at Kensington High Street at 7:25 this evening, I handed it in to station staff at the next stop, Notting Hill Gate.
@cavepainting@benedictevans Passionately agree. Burbling about calendars while attaching no weight to Zoom’s superior video and, particularly, audio processing and lower latency is a triumphant missing of the point.
@FormixWieck@QuinnyPig @zoom_us @Webex In 25 meetings using WebEx, only 3 started on time. Threw it out and put in Zoom which works first time, nearly every time.
@substack@FueledbyLOLZ I have been studying SubStack intensely. It’s a promising vehicle for something I have been long nurturing. But nothing is more offputting to taking it seriously as having the official Twitter account putting up cartoon GIFs in its replies to actual or prospective users.
@jasonwbade@fromedome@pierrelegrain@tryPico Followed link to Pico from this tweet. Was offered a chat with the founder, but no slots for a week; and a demo, with an RSVP button that led to a page announcing that the event had already happened.
@IainDale@Jacqui_Smith1 @forthemanypod How does the Queen know what the result of an election is? Does some government agency convey it to her on a formal parchment? Or is she just listening to the radio or TV like everyone else?
@JohnRentoul There is no reason why your preference for individuals not to be given a platform should trump my desire to hear what they have to say and make my own mind up.
@e_n_flores @zoom_us Last sentence is an opinion, not a fact. Seeing the people on the call, and whether they are paying attention, is exactly what I want.
@HamptonByHilton It is a matter of shame for me, as it should be for Hampton, to have generated more waste before the morning starts than I would make in a week at home.
@HamptonByHilton None of that glass, china or cutlery is offered at the Hampton I am staying in right now. Breakfast is served entirely on disposable materials, and most of the food involves plastic.
@EvanHD@BBCPM We will ask questions and leave the interviewee to answer without interruption. We will trust the audience to notice when the politician is evading the question. We will give time for arguments to be given life and breath rather than serving as the root cause of sound bites.
@EdwardLeighMP I've been a local committee member for the Conservatives in my area for nearly 40 years. There's not a single element of this programme that I would support.
@ericsyuan@s_abtin@saranormous @zoom_us Eric, can you make Zoom give more information about how an invitation to join a Zoom meeting is progressing? Has it reached the counterparty? Has the counterparty noticed it (eg is the sound on so the ringing is noticeable?). Has the counterparty started reacting to it?
@LookersJaguar Went to @LookersJaguar to look at the iPace today. Number of staff chatting around the coffee machine: five. Number interested in talking to me: zero.
