@thinkdefence I'm kinda surprised there hasn't been some kind of review of the barrage balloon concept to mitigate against longer range strike by UAs against critical infrastructure. Maybe just too easy to maneuver around. Seems like a similarly 'low tech' solution as netting.

@ItsTaz1989 Always been that boarding school prepares you for either prison or the military. Based on where some of my classmates ended up I'd say there was some truth to that. I'm not sure sending the sons and daughters of the wealthy to be soldiers would have the impact these people think

@MatejRisko Id be tempted to push through the EM-2 adoption instead of the FAL in the 1950s. FAL is great, but the EM-2 is such an alluring what if for some reason. Maybe it's as simple as a bullpup with wood furniture

@thinkdefence Slovakia can. ZTS special offers a pretty wide range of medium and heavy calibre options if i remember correctly. 125mm, I think 155mm (for Slovak and Czech sph), and 152mm. Might even be 122mm. Also mortars are manufactured here

Slovak Innovation Cluster for Defence and Security

Last week we organised an expert symposium where we introduced our project supported by the MoD SR. The symposium was attended by representatives of MoD SR including the Slovak armed forces, industry, academia, NGOs and the MoE.

@NOELreports Coalition will have to include HLAS. They may be able to force certain issues if they feel like it. Also, in terms of ukr, Fico is very unlikely to touch the defence contracts or prevent the signing of future ones. Slovak defence companies need these deals.

@Gabriel64869839 I am not convinced by the arguments in favour of utilizing bio fuels, especially for militaries . The environmental arguments seem weak, especially given the water usage for relevant crops. Seems better to focus on engine efficiency, or other alternative fuels.
