@thomasbrushdev I don't agree with your theory, but I agree with your complaint. My theory is, it is the Marvel-ization of all things pop culture. You can't play things straight, you have to sprinkle vibe-disrupting humor into everything... horror included.

@thomasbrushdev I don't usually revisit horror movies to be scared. I watch them for the moments that "popped" for me (and the story.) For Insidious, I quite enjoyed the bit where the demon appears behind the Dad.
