I love when people think being modest and hiding your skin is traditional when most of ancestors walked around with tits out in the summer until yt folks came along and told us it was sin.
Karl Lagerfeld was a fatphobic, sexist and racist butthole that hated pink. Quannah Chasinghorse attending the Met in pink, in a gown and style that Karl Lagerfeld would have hated, and in all her Indigenous glory is absolutely the most beautiful way to "honor" an unhonorable man

Being a Native person in predominately white spaces is interesting because in the middle of conversations someone will use, "totem pole", "powwow", "too many chiefs" and then pause to ask "wait can I say that?"... Great that you are having this realization right now and also, no.
Idc if y’all think I’m gatekeeping, but ppl who are newly Native are the most annoying. Like, y’all cant American Indian Studies your way into the community.
