BREAKING: The FBI says it foiled an alleged terror plot targeting Sunday’s UFC Freedom 250 event on the White House South Lawn.
Five suspects are in custody after authorities say they planned a coordinated attack involving explosive-filled drones aimed at buildings near the venue. Investigators allege the plot was designed to trigger panic among attendees and funnel fleeing crowds toward a sniper team positioned to carry out additional attacks.
In 8th grade, I won an essay contest for an essay titled America and Me.
I was 13 years old. It was about God, country, and patriotism.
The rest of my essays that year were about Metallica.
I grew up in a conservative household. My dad loved Reagan in the 1980s and absolutely hated the Clintons by the 1990s. I came up in the opposite of a woke world.
This image reminds me of the America I grew up in.
Air shows. Space shuttles. Big dreams. Technological optimism. A belief that the future would be better than today.
Maybe that’s why I’m so excited about AI, space, and what’s coming next.
It feels familiar 🇺🇸
I’ve followed combat sports for more than 25 years, and this White House card is unlike anything I’ve ever seen. Bringing elite competition to one of America’s most iconic landmarks is a unique way to celebrate both sport and country. Proud to witness a moment like this. 🇺🇸
Gotta be honest, this @ufc event at the White House looks spectacular. This is a big time show. I’m not there, and we all know all the complaints folks had about renovations at and around the White House, etc, but — to be fair — this is some impressive stuff I’m looking at. Props to UFC President @danawhite and the show they’ve put on. It’s Bigtime. Plain and simple!!!
Media:
"The USA hosting the World Cup is a total embarrassment."
Actual international fans in KC, Houston, and Dallas:
"Holy shit, the hospitality and culture here are unreal."
