Another music video developed from one of my poems, this is a story of love at first sight of a beautiful Latina or Hispanic young woman who meets the possible love of her life. Reflecting alone afterwards, she questions to herself whether this is an attraction in passing or a love that is meant to last.
As we approach July 4th, Independence Day, I share a portion of a speech delivered by Frederick Douglass on July 5, 1852, at Corinthian Hall in Rochester, New York. Douglass reminded America, “What to the Slave Is the Fourth of July?” This audio is my narration from that speech.
