On March 9, russia killed five volunteers in #Mariupol. They were delivering food and fuel for power generators to people in bombshelters across the town. A mortar shell directly hit their bus. They were all between 24 and 43.

Russians killed another person I knew, another journalist. I met Oleksandr Makhov in Sloviansk several years ago. He was one of the best Ukrainian war reporters. He joined the army after Russian full-scale invasion and was killed in combat near Izium. He was so young. RIP

My mom’s just called from Lviv region to tell me she heard a missile flying above our house, and then saw big smoke in the direction of Lviv... while I’m having dinner in Kyiv. Wherever we are, we can’t feel safe because of Russia.
