@Fit_For_Golf The actual ball data is pretty much identical (launch, ball speed and spin). The other variables are down to setup and when they measure them.
@therealmcnair The low left exit is the opposite of what most amateurs do with a similar move, as most that shallow late back up and try to exit high right causing a lot of problems
@Golfingbrock Rather than focusing on technical stuff, practice hitting punch shots as low as you can with the ball off your front foot, you’ll learn to control dynamic loft and strike with a later release. Your a great player just give yourself a different feel 👍🏼
@Ash_Alderman Been saying this since March when we can back from Australia. National restrictions seem so futile when you can have international travellers doing whatever they like, even more so with potential mutations
A fantastic series for the Midland Senior + trainees has come to its conclusion today at Hawkstone gc where @promarks@grahamjfarr tied for 1st place and @Harry_Lines_94 from @LudlowGolfClub wins his 1st PGA event. Well done guys and thank you to all who have supported the Series
@KrisJones87 Because it’s matchplay against the course so the eagle just wins you the hole it doesn’t win you two holes. Fun format tho because you basically play to just make birdies.
@BenColeyGolf Since the introduction of shotlink on the PGA Tour in 2007 the average ball speed has fluctuated from 165.5mph up to 168mph which equates to 5/7 yards of carry. To me that shows the ball isn’t the major problem of recent years. It will be interesting to see what happens though
@BenColeyGolf The main problem I see with changing the ball is that it penalises the shorter hitters more as they don’t have distance to lose like DJ etc. They go from 4/5 irons into greens to 3/5 woods whereas DJ goes from 9/Pw to 6/7. The shorter players would lose more control on approaches
@BenColeyGolf@NoLayingUp@GolfAust Yeah very true, I guess they need to decide what they are targeting. Are they saying the ball makes it too easy and want to make it harder for pros or are they trying to make old courses be played the way the designer had in mind. Valid arguments can be made for both I guess
@BenColeyGolf@NoLayingUp@GolfAust Yeah I agree in a sense that having to alter courses isn’t great and it’s largely the old ones that are having to be altered. But there is also something great in a player being able to hit such shots. If your long and straight you should be rewarded but give accuracy a premium
@NoLayingUp@BenColeyGolf@GolfAust Rough and penalising bunkers are the answer not making golf courses longer. Make a course longer they will find a way to hit it longer. Make a course narrower and more penalising and then they have to really think and be accurate.
@NoLayingUp@BenColeyGolf@GolfAust The problem isn’t the ball. The average player is longer now due better analysis technology and a greater emphasis on fitness. If Jack,Arnie etc had technology like trackman when they were playing, they would have picked up yardage by optimising their numbers.
