#SEONGHWA about the healthy way of feeling and expressing jealousy and feelings of inferiority 🥺
⭐️: Everyone... earlier we were talking about marriage but.. everyone, you... you can compare your life, you know. You can compare yourself to the people around you, your friends or even the people you admire. When you look at someone next to you, they might already have a house, a car, be married, or, well... they might be doing really well at work but you’re the same age and you’ve also lived your life in your own way and worked hard so “why are the results different?”, don’t be too discouraged asking yourself that.
I think everyone has their own pace. There’s another saying that I really like. "Just because a flower blooms late it doesn’t mean it isn’t beautiful." Right? Yeah. Even if the time when they bloom is different for each one, flowers are (still) beautiful. But until you fully bloom, in order to fully bloom, you have to keep doing your best and stay healthy and well. Don’t be lazy.
And you shouldn’t be jealous. As someone who used to suffer from jealousy and feelings of inferiority very badly, I think they’re really the ultimate emotions that eat away at you. Yeah. Jealousy and feelings of inferiority... Ah, I don’t mean the jealousy I mentioned earlier ㅎㅎ it's not that kind of jealousy! I mean it about (achieving) results. In the relationship between ATINY and me, I have a lot of jealousy, a lot, you know~
But there’s that kind of thing... if, for example, a friend next to you has done really well. “It's nothing special, so (what)?” don't do that, instead say, “oh, you did well? I’m jealous! Oh! I’m really jealous. You did well! I’m so jealous 👏🏼👏🏼" Just express it like that!
I think that’s really good. When one of the members says they’re going to do something I’m jealous, so I tell them. For example, if a friend did a part that I wanted then I’ll say, “wow, I was going to do that part, but.. you’re pretty good (at it)? I’m jealous.”
Just acknowledge it honestly and cleanly. Acknowledge that they did better and congratulate them. When I do that, my heart feels really comfortable and refreshed. And at the same time, I get motivated to work even harder myself. If you’re jealous, you can just say you’re jealous. Then that friend feels good, too. When the person listening hears someone next to them say, “wow, I’m jealous! Wow, that’s really cool!" it feels really good, it makes them feel all warm and the relationship (with you) gets better too. So I’m someone who very openly shows it.
Jealousy and feelings of inferiority really make things difficult when it comes to your own self-esteem.. life becomes very difficult. Because that feeling of hatred can get out of control. You should look for the problem within yourself rather than looking for the problem in other people. I mean, it varies depending on the situation, but you know what I mean, right? Yeah, that's how it is.
