A store clerk in Oregon told a customer "Bro, I don't have pennies," and says he was threatened with a lawsuit over one cent.

Treasury says 300 billion pennies are still out there. Most of them are sitting in our jars.

The penny died twice. First, President Trump told Treasury to stop making it, in a Truth Social post while he was leaving the Super Bowl in New Orleans. There was no vote and no statute. Then, 19 months later, Congress passed the Common Cents Act to make it official and set rounding rules for the cash register. That bill is on his desk now.

In between, stores went more than a year without rules. The last set of final pennies sold at auction for $800,000. And the nickel costs 13.31 cents to make.

Unpopular opinion. I agree with Cotton. We all want the clock change to stop. But stopping it on daylight saving time is the wrong place to stop because of exactly what Cotton says. Stop the clock on standard time. It's easier to adjust life to standard time than savings time. Might disagree with Cotton on a lot of things, but this is where, no pun intended, the broken clock is right.

The responses to this post are fascinating. I really don't care which way we go, just stop the insanity of the changing the clock twice a year. How about shifting your own activities if it's so important to do whatever it is you want to do after work.

But holy cow, I didn't realize how emotional and argumentative people were over just settling on either standard or savings time.

Maybe this is why we can't get anything done in this country. The politicians just reflect the polarization of the people they represent.

Here's what everyone is missing about these video clips. In the first he brags about "slamming" her, and then goes on to say that she swung around and kicked him in the "luggage."

After that video is released, that's when he starts to soften the language. Like every story he tells, he exaggerates and then when it becomes public, tries to shift the story.

That's the methodology with this guy. That's SOP. Braggart, then when caught, backs off.

I believe both stories and that's the problem. He lies, prevaricates, blames the media or his opponents, never just manning up and admitting, yeah, I said that and I was bragging about it, and then when it became public I tried to soften it.

If a Democrat was doing this Republicans would be losing their minds. But in a race that we're going to lose because we nominate a person like this, in a deep blue state, we get exactly what we deserve.

The cultists will refuse to see it. So when you @ me, just know, you're proving to me you're in the cult.

Welcome to the world of radical Islamists. Whether he is or not needs to be thoroughly vetted. @united needs to assure those of us who the airline that they haven’t hired a “clean skin” who has just been waiting until his time came.

Throughout my days at DHS it wasn’t the so-called “lone wolf” but the cadre of clean skins who immigrated here. They aren’t like us - they don’t look at the last quarter….they look at the last century for their timeline.

We know what the end game is and have since 9/11. The largest threat has never been the traveling public. The largest threat are those who get waved through TSA with their employee badges. Yes, they get checked, mostly. But a coordinated group could easily smuggle parts into the sterile area piece by piece, little by little, taking their time.

Maybe sometime Western Civilization will learn that this is a generational war and has been for eons.
