What an inspirational evening! Celebrating engineering and apprentices, including @STFC_Matters Christopher Robinson. @DrEmilyGrossman reiterated the importance of diversity and concern about imposter syndrome, points I am sure @UKRI_CEO would agree with.
The next award of the night is the Large Employer Apprentice of the Year, sponsored by Fuse Universal @Fuseuniversal. A reminder of our finalists below:
Looking forward to celebrating the amazing engineering talent shaping our future at the @Enginuity_Org Awards Event tonight. The shortlist looks amazing… fingers crossed for @STFC_Matters Christopher Robinson… @HarwellCampus to red carpet. See you there!

Interesting panel discussion at #Appleton2021... completely agree that UK companies will struggle to sell to international Governments if the UK Government isn't a customer. Recent Government procurement initiatives (eg RM6235) are a first step. Looking forward to seeing more...

It was great to formally welcome the Darwin Autonomous Shuttle to @HarwellCampus today. It will form an important part of visits to Harwell Space Cluster as it such a visible demonstration of the importance of space to us here on earth, today and more importantly tomorrow.
We're thrilled to announce the launch of the Darwin Autonomous Shuttle service at @HarwellCampus! We hope that this will serve as a step towards widespread autonomous public transport. https://t.co/eIhddPK4wY
It is great to see such a tangible example of the importance of space enabled communications and positioning @HarwellCampus. I am looking forward to testing it out today.

I enjoyed Chairing a panel on skills last week as part of @the_MTC_org’s Oxfordshire Future Manufacturing Roadshow. It was great to not just have the people driving the training in the room but those who are being trained too. Arguably their insights are the most valuable
Taking a whole system view: enabling connectivity between different elements is really important to driving digital manufacturing at pace. This requires collaboration & conversation to understand each element. Something we do at @HarwellCampus every day.
