I haven't watched a single video on youtube from past 2 weeks now.

Installed an extension on Chrome that blocks everything on youtube and displays the search bar only.

No temptations of recommended videos.

So, now I use youtube only if I need to.

For the past few weeks I've been off X.

Which has given me time . . .

Time to analyze the past 10 years of my life.

I realized many things, and one key lesson.

Something most of us forget along the way.

➼ We're human.

The fact that we'll commit mistakes even after knowing not to is what makes us human.

But that's not it.

I discovered 4 another key lessons:

➼ Always expect problems: Life's not ideal. And don't expect it to be. Expect problems, roadblocks and setbacks but don’t use them as an excuse. Never stop working towards your goal. Even if you move by an inch, it’s still progress. You fail only when you stop. So, don’t!

➼ Choose the hard way every time: Stop being lazy and stop optimizing your life around pleasure. Hedonism is a cancer. It'll destroy you inside out. Instead, put in the work. Choose the hard way. Earn your rewards. Repair your relationship with Dopamine.

➼ Be intentional: If you're not intentional about your life, you're going nowhere. Also, being intentional and committing mistakes along the way is far better than being paranoid about taking the right decision.

➼ Get Obsessed or don’t even start: Focus on just one thing and be obsessed. Commit yourself fully or don’t do it at all. If you win, great and if you don't you gain a ton of experience.

This is the gist of the past 10 years of my life.

The barrier to entry has been low for quite some time now.

And anyone can build a website these days.

So execution is not worthy anymore.

Got to differentiate on other components of web design, like strategy or marketing aspects.
