Civil War soldier "Johnny" Clem was known as "The Drummer Boy of Shiloh" after legend spread that his drum was destroyed during the battle. He also fought in other battles, including Chickamauga, after enlisting with the 22nd Michigan regiment at age 12. #12DaysofMuseumObjects

The double wedding ring pattern was very popular in the 1930s, but it is unusual to find it in only 2 colors as seen here. It is possible that this quilt was created as a wedding present. It is from the family of Jean Schiilling of Cosby, Tennessee. #12DaysofMuseumObjects
