Whatever his intent, he was continuing to narrow a mother's options down to "give him what he wants." She's since been convicted for the words he extracted from her that way. He's never been investigated for extracting them. This is a free speech case, yes. It's also, as I see it, a case of coercion that nobody in the coverage has bothered to name.
