Let's keep this issue trending for the next 8 days! At 19 years old, standard dreams usually mean getting a driver’s license, traveling with friends, or starting a career. For Isabella Travers, from Arklow, it also means fighting every single day to keep hold of her independence. "It is not about reversing what has already happened, but about protecting the future and giving people living with FA the opportunity to hold on to the parts of our lives that matter most to us." Isabella hasn't let FA define her. She works from home for her father’s business, loves crocheting, dreams of driving, and cherishes every moment with her friends and family. But FA is a progressive thief: without treatment, fine motor skills, speech, swallowing, and vision remain under constant threat. There is a drug—Skyclarys—that can slow this progression. Patients in Ireland have waited over 700 days, caught behind HSE bureaucracy and price negotiations. Every single day of delay means another piece of someone's independence is lost forever. Isabella isn't asking for a miracle; she is asking for time. Ahead of the final HSE leadership decision on August 25, Isabella, her family, and supporters are taking the fight to Dublin. They need us behind them. ✊ STAND WITH ISABELLA: March in Dublin: Join the protest on Sunday, August 23rd at the Garden of Remembrance. Demand Action: Write to your local TDs, the Minister for Health, and the Taoiseach urged by time, not red tape. Share Her Story: Help us amplify her voice so the decision-makers see the person, not just the cost line. Time is running out. Let’s make sure they hear her. 💙 Link in comments #IsabellaTravers #Skyclarys #FriedreichsAtaxia #Protest #23March https://t.co/2HEU452i0y
