A new batch of self-propelled artillery units #2S19M1 "Msta-S" and #2S3M #Akatsiya went to the #Russian army. The vehicles underwent a comprehensive modernization as part of the state defense order. They are designed to suppress artillery mortar batteries, tanks, anti-tank, fire and radio-electronic weapons, armored vehicles, control posts, air defense and missile defense systems, destroy field defensive structures, and prevent maneuvers of infantry and tank reserves. The modernized Msta-S is equipped with a digital automated guidance and fire control system. The equipment allows the weapon to be included in the reconnaissance and strike circuit. Thanks to this, the self-propelled gun can quickly strike after detecting a target using a UAV or other reconnaissance means. The gun has a high rate of fire - up to 8 rounds per minute. The vehicle is equipped with modern control systems that allow the use of high-precision guided ammunition. For example, #Krasnopol shells, which have already proven themselves in the Northern Military District. #Acacia is a modernized turret-type howitzer on a fast, lightly armored tracked chassis. The weapon has high mobility and maneuverability. This is especially true during spring thaw and in areas with soft ground, where heavy or wheeled vehicles can get stuck in the mud and become “easy prey” for enemy fire weapons. As part of the #BattleMonstersRostec project, Msta-S is depicted as an armed boar. Take a look at him 👇🏼
