We have a winner! After 89 votes, the Mafin fandom has chosen MUM (Mujeres Unidas contra el Maltrato) to donate to
We’re now looking into the best way to set up a fundraiser directly with them and will let you know when it’s ready
(all thanks to @mafin_martista, who has been amazing, helping with this and encouraging the idea from the start 💚)

⬇️ Even if you haven’t canceled your subscription, please think about taking part as well. This is a real opportunity to do something good and turn our anger into something that will help people who need it 💚 #AlmaSolidaria

Even if you didn't have a Atres subscription, consider donating. They are all worthy organizations, and there are women everywhere who can use this help. #AlmaSolidaria

The idea behind #AlmaSolidaria came from people in the Mafin fandom choosing to cancel their Atres subscriptions and wanting to turn that money, and our frustration, into something positive.
We chose LGBTQ+ organisations because the Mafin fandom exists because of a lesbian love story and the community that grew around it. We also chose organisations supporting women affected by abuse because SDL has repeatedly told stories involving abuse, coercion and violence against women, and many of us have concerns about how those stories have been handled.
Whatever the result of the poll, the important thing is that something good comes from all of this. The Mafin fandom has always been about more than what happens on screen, and we want to take something that has left so many of us angry and disappointed and turn it into something positive, in Alba and Marta’s name.
Thank you to everyone who suggested organisations, votes, donates or simply helps us share this 💚

Girls, there’s been a suggestion that we donate what we would have spent on our October Atres subscription to charity instead. I’m gonna do it. What do you think? #CancelAtres #AlmaSolidaria
