⚔️They won a gunfight, took a prisoner, were hit by FPV and were wounded. A soldier of the #AREY regiment with the call sign Palych recalls his adventures on the front line.
During one of the sorties in Zaporizhia, he and his comrade noticed several enemies and entered into a gunfight. With the help of drone operators, they defeated the enemy group. One lightly wounded Russian was taken prisoner.
“The prisoner is from the Urals,” recalls Palych. “He most likely received the wound from me. One bullet remained in his phone. And the second hit the lighter and bounced off, slightly wounding him. Lucky duck.”
The Russians managed to call for help, because enemy FPVs flew in. Palych’s comrade also shouted that the drone was flying straight into his chest. Palych shouted at him to fall. At that moment, the FPV exploded.
“The explosion was so strong that at first it seemed to me that my legs were torn off to the knees… I lost consciousness for a short time. My comrade shouted that he was the 300th. I was able to get up. Then I felt something warm running down my leg,” says Palych.
Our fighters with the prisoner ran to the shelter. They were dropped off with medicine by drone. They stayed there until morning. They walked more than ten kilometers. They entered the half-destroyed village and waited for evacuation. Palych had five fragments in his leg. His comrade had cuts from shrapnel. After leaving, they were taken to the hospital.
“When we left, the Russian did not try to escape,” says Palych. “He understood that we would not let him. And he had six children… He walked very quickly and carried my comrade’s things. He wanted to live. By the way, he only had two chocolate bars for food… He said he went to fight for the money. He said that after signing the contract, he was brought to Rostov-on-Don. There he saw two planes with dead Russians. Then he realized that he had made a mistake, but it was too late…”
The fragments did a lot of damage to Palych’s leg. He has been undergoing rehabilitation for several months. Before the army, he worked as a carpenter, making doors. He himself is from the Kherson region.

Дівчата з #УДА 253 штурмового полку #Арей розповіли про свій перший бойовий вихід і чому вирішили добровільно стати до лав Збройних сил України.
Фара і Пуля в полку #AREY уже два місяці. Пройшли базову підготовку й одразу вирушили на Запорізький напрямок.
- Я давно думала над тим, щоб піти. Хотілося бути корисною, - каже чорнява Пуля. – Хочу щоб моя дитина жила в спокої і мирі, а Україна була незламною.
- А мій чоловік служив. Загинув пів року тому. Тому я вирішила продовжити його шлях, - пояснює рудоволоса Фара. – Та й мала бажання бути корисною країні.
Дівчата вже пережили свій перший бойовий вихід. Згадують, що «це був такий адреналін, якого ще в житті вони не мали».
- Це був страх. Але з іншого боку – захват від того, що ти робиш, - ділиться враженнями Пуля. – Ніколи не забуду, як ми заходили на позицію і як виходили. Були труднощі й обстріли на позиції, але… Вихід був дуже важкий. Два кілометри ми йшли сім годин. Під ногами нерозірвані снаряди, «пелюстки», FPV літають. Рюкзаки страшенно стають важкі…
- Після виходу ми почали бігати й присідати. Зрозуміли, що треба краща фізична підготовка, - каже Фара. – На позиції все було цілком нормально. Можна працювати. Лише коли виходили з укриття й чули FPV ставало не по собі. Але коли ми вийшли і я помилася в душі, сказала: «Все, я можу їхати назад»!
Дорого назад, коли дівчата почули, що їм назустріч їде боєць на квадроциклі, щоб допомогти їм, готові були розцілувати його. Зрештою, коли вони зустрілися, так і сталося.
На подальшу роботу дівчат надихає результат, а він у них був. Проте вони прагнуть більшого, тому щодня навчаються. З чоловіками обов’язки розподіляють абсолютно на рівних правах, прибирають і готують – однаково всі.
- Домогосподарок у нас тут нема, - каже Пуля.
Мріють дівчата про мир, перемогу, сім’ю та, наприклад, як Пуля, про поїздку з дитиною до Діснейленду.
- Але в першу чергу ми всі зберемося і будемо святкувати, - запевняє Фара.
До речі, Пуля з бійцем, який вивозив дівчат на квадроциклі після виснажливого виходу, стали парою. Небезпека і боротьба за свою країну часто зближує людей.

⚔️ Originally, this defenders call-sign was "Provodnik" (Guide). Later, it changed to "Pravednik" (Righteous).
He has been with the #AREY unit for over six months. Before that, he completed a course to become a combat medic. This was not easy, as most of those who applied did not even pass the intermediate exam. He became a combat medic for his platoon.
He will remember his first experience in combat for the rest of his life.
His comrades radioed that one of them was injured. An FPV drone flew directly into the room, but the enemy pilots did not notice our soldiers, so they crashed their drone into the wall – somewhere. One soldier was hit by ten small fragments in his arm and two in the back of his head. They called for "Pravednik," who was with another group nearby:
"We cleaned the wound with betadine, applied a hemostatic agent. I cut up some gauze from a tampon and packed the wound. I secured it and bandaged it. I gave him an antibiotic. Then, we changed the dressing three times a day until he was evacuated. The wound didn't look too bad visually, but my hands were shaking. I was worried. I think I did everything right. The comrade was conscious the whole time."
When the injured soldier was being evacuated, "Pravednik" accompanied him for over ten kilometers. This was his first injured patient. Of course, everyone would like there to be no more injured. But we must continue to defend our land. Glory to Ukraine!💛💙

Military communication is an invisible lifeline that sustains combat operations. It integrates dozens of individual actions into a single system that delivers results. Communication specialists don't just set up radios or equipment; they maintain a network that connects people, technology, and solutions into a single, living mechanism. Target coordinates, intelligence data, commands, and video feeds must reach the right person at the right moment. Otherwise, even the best drone will be just a piece of equipment, and the most critical information could be delayed by a matter of seconds.
Here's how the commander of the "OAK" communication unit describes it:
— We are always among the first to arrive at a sector and set up the equipment. And we are often among the last to leave: without communication, it's impossible to bring troops in and out of position and to conduct rotations.
In military communication, there are no "breaks," scheduled maintenance, or excuses like "sorry, we don't have a backup" or "the battery died." Every minute can be critical. Therefore, communication specialists are always on alert during operations. If the enemy hits an antenna or repeater, they must immediately restore communication—often under the threat of a second attack.
I won't go into the technical details of our work. Everything was learned gradually: we learned how to program radios, configure equipment, and ensure continuous communication between units. Stable communication is coordination, control, and the safety of our troops. It's the ability to transmit orders in a timely manner, warn of danger, and call for support.
But war is not just about technology. It's also a constant threat. The enemy not only tries to destroy equipment but also targets communication specialists.
Dub recalls one such incident:
— The enemy damaged the equipment of a repeater, and we went to repair it. We received a video feed from a drone of the enemy, showing an enemy FPV drone of the "ZH DUN" type looking at our antenna and clearly waiting for us. This time, we were lucky: we managed to intercept the signal, and the "ZH DUN" was destroyed. But we must always be on guard. You are focused on working with the equipment and at the same time have to listen to what is happening around you. You must be prepared for the possibility of being targeted by the enemy when you are on a roof or in a tree, where the equipment is located.
Our communication specialists quickly fix things when they break. If the situation changes, they immediately adapt. They do everything to ensure that communication is not interrupted, so that units can carry out combat missions. Dub and his team perform work that is almost invisible from the outside, but it is on this work that stable and continuous communication depends:
— Every communication device, every cable, and every connection undergoes a thorough inspection before deployment. Once at the position, the soldiers have only a few minutes to set up the equipment and establish communication, so all preparations must be flawless.
