#AshantiFest 2026 successfully concluded yesterday with a Thanksgiving Service at Akrowa Revival Center, Church of Pentecost, Afigya Kwabre South, as we expressed our profound gratitude to God for a peaceful, impactful, and incident-free celebration.
This year’s festival leaves behind meaningful and lasting legacies. Works have commenced on improving the health facilities at the Kumasi Central Prisons. The Asokwa Interchange continues its transformation into a vibrant open-air museum, with ongoing additions including benches, an open field library, and public WiFi to enhance community use.
In line with our commitment to inclusive development, scholarship support has been provided for 50 street youth to return to school, while an additional 50 are being supported to acquire vocational skills. Furthermore, 20 trained youth have received start-up capital to establish their own enterprises.
The Ashanti Expo stood out as a major economic driver, bringing together over 300 businesses to showcase products, build networks, and drive commerce.
The festival featured a rich lineup of events, including the reenactment of the Sagrenti War, Cultural and Kente Week, Ashanti Dramalogue, Musical Concert, Street Art Festival, and others, all celebrating our heritage and creative strength.
We thank God and all stakeholders for a successful AshantiFest 2026. Together, we continue to build a stronger and more vibrant Ashanti Region.
