🛑 A Reality Check on Imran Khan’s Dangerous National Security Narrative.
1. *Talking to the TTP has never worked*; every single "peace" deal with them in our history has backfired. It’s literally Einstein’s definition of insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.
2. Claiming that *foreign powers* want us to launch military operations is just populist garbage*. TTP is a *domestic* threat, not some international plot. We’re not doing the world a favor; we’re protecting our own people.
3. 95%+ of casualties in the War on Terror were caused by the TTP. Let that sink in. Not the US, not India, not any "external enemy", the TTP.
4. Afghanistan is openly hosting TTP camps and commanders. This is an open secret. They aren’t hiding it.
5. Since 2021, terrorism in Pakistan has skyrocketed; and we haven’t had a major military operation since 2017. So what exactly is the plan? Sit back and count the bodies?
6. And what on earth is the “Anti-Taliban lobby” supposed to mean? Is IK saying you’re *pro*-Taliban now? How messed up is that?
7. Afghanistan is *not* some “brotherly Muslim country” — it’s a *hostile state* that has *never* accepted Pakistan’s existence and literally claims half our territory.
8. *Afghan refugees pose a serious national security risk.* Many openly support a Greater Afghanistan and refuse to even say “Pakistan Zindabad.” We don’t have to deport everyone, but can we at least admit that a significant number of them need to go?
Everything @ImranKhanPTI wrote is misleading or flat-out false. It’s *shameful* how national security has become a political football — first PMLN and PPP weaponized it against each other, and now PTI is doing the same.
How on earth is being soft on the TTP the solution? That’s not "independent foreign policy," it’s *national suicide.*
