According to Shri @DsaikiaOfficial, the former Leader of the Opposition in the Assam Legislative Assembly, he suddenly felt the urge to check his own NRC details using his ARN (Application Refferance Number). However, upon accessing the relevant website, he followed the on-screen instructions and contacted the state helpline number. But—nothing; there was absolutely no response! He then reached out to the NRC's toll-free number, but surprisingly the response came from an Veterinary Hospital located in Shillong. (State Capital of Meghalaya)
Now the question is how did the toll free number registered in the name of NRC come under the purview of the veterinary hospital? Just think, if this is the case with the name checking of VIPs like him in the state, then what will happen to the general public?
He has sent a written complaint to the State Chief Secretary, alleging such irresponsibility and gross negligence on the part of the government regarding a matter of critical importance like the NRC.
This is extremely unfortunate and deeply concerning! Since the entire NRC process was conducted under the supervision and oversight of the Supreme Court, steps must be taken to apprise the Hon'ble Supreme Court of it. #NRC | #Assam @ArshadMadani007
