Earlier this month, #LeonardoHelicopters #AW609 aircraft 3 (AC3) completed its 609th #FlightTest!
This test focused on a critical maneuver: reconverting the nacelles from airplane to #VTOL mode under limited power, simulating autorotation.
This successful test validates the aircraft's operational capabilities and brings us closer to initial certification!

Qui nasce l’#AW609, il primo #convertiplano al mondo progettato per ottenere la certificazione civile. Questo velivolo è un'eccellenza dell'ingegneria italiana, in grado di raggiungere una velocità di circa 500 km/h, coprendo grandi distanze in tempi ridotti. Ideale per operazioni in contesti complessi: dalle missioni di pattugliamento e ricerca e soccorso (#SAR) in aree difficili da raggiungere con gli elicotteri tradizionali, fino alle operazioni di evacuazione medica d’emergenza (#EMS).
