Ageing Without Children (AWOC) is now in Dorset Council’s delivery strategy. Around 1 in 5 of adults in Dorset are AWOC - over 23,000 people.
Older adults without family advocacy are more likely to rely on paid care, face longer hospital stays and earlier care Home entry.

Delighted that supporting those Ageing Without Children has now been included in Dorset Council’s planning. I think we might be the first county to do this - in the world!
