[Originally promised to Landsborough, twice]
It needs to be built as it's where the #DSCL line branches off.

WE HAVE ARRIVED AT #B2N FULLY FUNDED RAIL PROJECT AFTER IT WAS STOPPED IN 2009 (albeit cut back from Landsborough to Beerwah)

Beerburrum to Nambour Rail Upgrade (Stage 1) (Fed) $616.700m + (Qld) $387.491m = $1,004.191m
#B2N funding almost there but Qld Budget has it short-changed once more.
Total $1004.2m - $390m (Fed) - $160.8m (Qld) - $226.7m (Fed) - $115 (Qld) = $111.7m short
#B2N has 1/2 the extra $ required for it to begin - 6 years after announcing it on 9 Jun 2018
Revised cost $1,004.2 b, up fr $550.8 m and just $226.7 million short
I expect #Qldpol #budget will announce $226.7 million for B2N #SunshineCoast rail on Tue 11 Jun 2024

Edging ever closer to fruition.. the only fly in the ointment is what's happening with 13km #B2N Beerburrum to Beerwah.
It requires an extra $500 million in funding to proceed.
It meets the DSCL spur at Beerwah.
@BrendanNatoli The #LNP has committed to building the Direct Sunshine Coast line (#dscl) all the way to Maroochydore.
They have not [effectively] lied to us about #rail like the current govt has - on multiple occasions.
