This #WorldTurtleDay, we shed light on the impacts of Bill 5 on Ontario's snapping turtles and their habitats.
Snapping turtles occupy wide ranges of Ontario's shallow water bodies and terrestrial areas. As a species of special concern, they are threatened by #Bill5, which reduces habitat protections and removes the focus on species recovery.

On December 1st, Ford began cutting the sewage pipes to allow for raw sewage to discharge along our Toronto’s lakeshore and beaches. The construction began after Ford passed Bill 5 which removes the requirement for the government to consult the public.
It’s a shocking abuse of power.
Families deserve clean, safe beaches—not sewage dumps to support a $2.2 billion taxpayer-funded foreign megaspa at #OntarioPlace. Thank you, Dr. Samantha Green, for joining us to speak to the media about the impact of this construction on the health of swimmers, paddlers, beachgoers, and all Torontonians who use these public spaces.
