📌 Quick take on the #BITPOINT / SBI VC Trade news around $Jasmy
Last night, @HARA_JasmyCFO clarified that JMY’s discontinuation on #BITPOINT comes from BITPOINT’s internal handling policy and does not change Jasmy’s business activities, Jasmy Chain, Personal Data Locker, or development roadmap.
I waited before posting because some headlines say:
“Two SBI-Affiliated Exchanges Set To Delist Jasmy”
That wording can make it sound like SBI VC Trade and BITPOINT are both delisting @JASMY.
That’s not what actually happened.
🔎 What happened
SBI VC Trade already absorbed Bitpoint Japan. #BITPOINT and #VCTRADE are now two services under SBI VC Trade while BITPOINT is being integrated into VCTRADE.
SBI had previously said assets available on BITPOINT but not on VCTRADE would be reviewed ahead of the integration.
The decision:
📉 BITPOINT will discontinue 6 assets:
BNB • DEP • JMY • OSHI • PEPE • TRUMP
📉 VCTRADE will separately discontinue 3 assets:
APT • ETC • OAS
So there are 9 assets in total, but $JMY is only in the BITPOINT group.
The more accurate description is:
✅ JMY is being discontinued on BITPOINT and will not be carried over to VCTRADE.
It is not being delisted from both #BITPOINT and #VCTRADE.
⚠️ There is still a negative side
SBI could have added $JMY to VCTRADE and carried it forward after integration. It chose not to.
So $JMY is losing one trading venue in Japan, and SBI is not including it in the VCTRADE lineup after integration.
That is a real negative for market access.
But facts and assumptions need to be separated.
🇯🇵 So far, there is no evidence that $JMY has a regulatory problem in Japan.
I have not found any announcement from the FSA or another Japanese regulator saying $JMY has a compliance issue.
BITPOINT also does not say $JMY is being removed because of a compliance violation, security issue, or a problem with Jasmy’s business.
$JMY is still available on other licensed Japanese exchanges, including BitTrade and Binance Japan.
Some reports also use the phrase “compliance overhaul.” From the original announcements, I don’t see evidence that JMY was specifically removed because of a Jasmy-related compliance issue.
Hara’s clarification is consistent with this: #BITPOINT policy, while Jasmy’s business and roadmap remain unchanged.
Also, Hara is Jasmy’s Director / CFO, not CEO, as some reports incorrectly stated.
📊 My current risk assessment
Project / Development Risk: 1/10
No evidence this affects Jasmy Chain, PDL, Panasonic collaboration, or the roadmap.
Japan Regulatory Risk: 2/10
No evidence Japanese regulators have a specific issue with $JMY.
Japan Market Access: 5/10
A real negative. $JMY loses BITPOINT and is not being carried into VCTRADE.
Short-Term Sentiment: 6/10
A headline like “SBI Delists Jasmy” can clearly pressure sentiment in the short term.
👀 What I’m watching next
The key names now are @BitTrade_jp and Binance Japan.
If both continue supporting $JMY and no other Japanese exchanges follow BITPOINT, this still looks more like an SBI/BITPOINT service restructuring than a regulatory problem.
But if other Japanese exchanges start delisting $JMY too — especially for the same regulatory reason — then the situation changes and should be reassessed immediately.
📌 My conclusion
The news is real.
The negative impact is real.
But there is still no evidence that Jasmy itself has a business or regulatory problem.
Read the headline — but don’t judge the whole situation from the headline alone.

🚨gumi関連の仮想通貨OSHI、1日で約90%暴落
「推し活×ゲーム×Web3」を掲げるOSHIが、約0.03ドル→0.003ドルまで急落。
OSHIは東証プライム上場のgumiが主体となって推進する「OSHI3」の基盤トークン。発行元はシンガポールのBOBGで、ゲームやIPを横断して使える共通通貨を目指している。
暴落の引き金とみられるのが、BITPOINTによる取扱廃止発表。
OSHIはBITPOINT撤退後、国内の暗号資産交換業者で取扱いがゼロになる予定。もともと海外市場の板も非常に薄く、発表を受けた売りで一気に価格が崩れたとみられる。
現時点では、ハッキングやラグプルなどが原因だとする確かな情報は確認されていない。
🇯🇵 A little more context on today’s #BITPOINT / $JASMY news.
There may be a much simpler explanation behind the delisting.
BITPOINT is being integrated into SBI VC Trade, with BITPOINT’s services ultimately being phased out and customer assets migrated to VCTRADE.
So today’s decision appears to be part of a broader restructuring of BITPOINT’s offering ahead of that integration — rather than something specifically targeting Jasmy.
Hara has now addressed the situation directly:
“This decision is based on BITPOINT’s handling policy, and there are no changes to Jasmy’s business activities, development roadmap, or the expansion of the Jasmy ecosystem.”
But his final sentence is perhaps the most interesting:
“Jasmy will continue to focus on the practical use of JMY and the expansion of the ecosystem.”
That’s worth remembering — especially after Hara’s recent comments about where $JASMY could “really shine” in the future.
