They’re so dishonest, they did the same thing to me with my November 2023 analytical series. I proposed a Russian-brokered Ethiopian-Djiboutian port deal with the explicit purpose of relieving pressure on Eritrea. Hundreds of Shabia propagandists then swarmed me lying that I threatened their country and was an Ethiopian agent. What I learned is that they’re obsessed with preventing Ethiopia from peacefully obtaining full and free access to the sea. Even when the proposal is explicitly peaceful, they’ll shamelessly lie that it’s “threatening” and “warmongering”. It’s a collective psychosis due to regime propaganda and the fear that some pro-govt Eritreans have of not playing along. Those that don’t join in the digital lynch mob are suspected of disloyalty, which can get them and their families killed. What we’re witnessing is the easily debunked propaganda of a radical ideological regime. We also all see how Eritreans are forced to participate in these 1984-esque “two minutes hate” rituals, it’s scary stuff.
