Does #BelfastPride have a future?
Even the organisers claimed yesterday that attendance was 8,000, down from the 80,000+ peak. And others would put yesterday's parade at closer to 2,000.
They no longer get state funding (see latest accounts below), and in 2026, they don't even get corporate sponsorship. They no longer have any employees, and were listed for strike-off by UK Companies House in 2026 before that threat was lifted.
The only political party spotted in full colours yesterday at the parade was PB4P, People Before Profit, or as some wags call them Puberty Blockers 4 Prebubescents. They have only two local councillors out of 462 in N Ireland and one MLA Gerry Carroll who got in by the skin of his teeth last time and looks like a goner in #AE27.
Pride comes before a fall, and #BelfastPride colonisation by gender dyphoria, and alienation of so many is sad to see.

These days, they're accused of genociding the "trans community" because of their support for the ban on puberty blockers for children with gender dysphoria. SF, like the other parties in the NI Executive, supported the ban after being shown advice about the "serious danger to health"
Surprised Feile an Phobail hasn't banned SF as well!

Apart from SF MEP Lynn Boylan**, seems SF hasn't commented at all on the Feile An Phobail/Women's Rights Network dispute. SF hasn't responded to requests from news organisations for comment.
SF is banned and excluded today from #BelfastPride because, along with political parties which overall, represent 80% of N Ireland, SF in 2024 supported a ban on puberty blockers for children with gender dysphoria, after receiving official advice that such medication posed a "serious danger to health". In the 26 counties, the SF position on puberty blockers is more muted, saying they'll rely on expert medical advice, but they haven't pressed the HSE or government for guidance that was due in Q4,2024 and meanwhile, it's a Wild West for such pharma.
** Lynn Boylan wrote "well done" in response to the announcement by Feile An Phobail of its exclusion and cancellation of Women's Rights Network. She probably would have written "Maith thú" if the blasted oppressor's keyboard had a fada key.

Alliance Party, like all parties in the N Ireland Executive are excluded and banned again from attending this year #BelfastPride because of their stance nearly two years ago in supporting the ban on giving puberty blockers to children to treat gender dysphoria, because Alliance and the other parties in the Executive, had been shown advice that puberty blockers posed "a serious danger to health".
