If he doesn't sell this weekend I won't be disappointed. I need a dozen of these bad boys on my workbench to paint. #breyer #breyercustom #modelhorsesoftwitter #horseart #animalportraits
A silver dun on the Troubador mold. He’s based on the real morgan “Coulee Bend Talisman.” My entry in the finishwork division for the Breyerfest Customs Contest. He was one of those models that painted itself, which was a welcome suprise. #breyerfest2022 #breyercustom #mares…
The new Breyer Collector Club Eberl SM OF isn't an OF any longer. Opps. Rose dappled grey....ish....unless he says otherwise. #breyer #breyercustom #modelhorseartist #upcomingsale
When a well know artist in the model horse community tell you she likes your custom! #artist #modelhorses #breyercustom
I have been having a ball in Star Stable, so I decided to paint my last blank stablemate like my starter horse, Thunderhawk! I can't wait for more horse girl time on wednesday's stream with @allisonhowle!! #breyer #breyercustom #starstable #starstableonline
Gonna need a few more of these new Breyers. I really really like painting up this mold. #breyer #breyercustom

Layer 15: Added horseshoes. Found out the hoof sizes were uneven. So lesson learned, always add the horseshoes during the prepping process so you can file/add apoxie where needed. Here I'm in the process of doing that.

Layer 14: Using a pale yellow/ecru colored pencil for mapping. After the pencil pass I smudge in some white pastel to soften it so it "sets" into the paint job. Again, I hate the painted on top look

More apoxie. Basically concentrating on shapes at this point. I'll be sanding down and smoothing curves with the dremel before coming back and sculpting in the finer details.

Blocked mane in quite a bit with apoxie, it's a good start.

More painter's tape on the tail, and sculpting it by bending and applying the baking soda/super glue combo on.

Apoxie has blended in the head and neck, and a coat of primer helps me to see what else needs to be worked on. Kind of want to keep the painter's tape mohawk.

A kitbash of two different breyer models, the head and neck of Lonesome Glory and the body of Huckleberry Bey. @bearcarousel has dubbed him "Lonesome Bey"
