🇨🇲 On 25 June 2026, at my official residence, I received the team of census enumerators led by the Director General of #BUCREP as part of the operations for the 4th General Population and Housing Census, including its module dedicated to the General Census of Agriculture and Livestock.
I reaffirm the revised census timetable, which has been extended until 31 July. Also, I call on all heads of households, neighbourhood leaders, and village chiefs to esure they are counted. Census participation is both a civic and republican duty; without it, you do not exist in your country's statistics.
I also urge you to ensure that all populations under your authority are properly enumerated. This census is a key tool for guiding and strengthening development planning in Cameroon. 🇨🇲

🇨🇲J'ai reçu ce 25.06.2026, en ma résidence officielle, l'équipe des agents recenseurs sous la conduite du DG du #BUCREP, dans le cadre des opérations du 4ème recensement général de la population et de l'habitat et son module consacré au recensement général de l'agriculture et de l'élevage.
Je réaffirme ici le chronogramme prorogé jusqu'au 31 juillet prochain, en même temps je lance cet appel à tous les chefs de famille, chefs de quartiers et de villages : faites-vous recenser ; c'est un acte républicain et citoyen, sinon vous n'existez pas dans votre pays.
Assurerez-vous du recensement des populations placées sous votre autorité. Ce recensement constitue un outil clé pour mieux orienter la planification du développement au Cameroun🇨🇲

#UNDP🇨🇲 joined the One @UN_Cameroon team, the Government🇨🇲, and key partners, to further preparations for the kickoff of Cameroon’s 4th General Population and Housing #Census, following the Prime Minister’s decree launching the exercise.
The workshop, led by #BUCREP, @UNFPACameroon, and @FAOCameroun, reinforced efforts for public awareness-raising and social mobilization for a participatory and inclusive census process, aligned with national development priorities and aimed at strengthening national data systems to better inform planning and progress toward the #SDGs.
@UNDP🇨🇲 reaffirms its commitment to supporting strong national data and statistical systems that enable evidence-based policymaking and inclusive development.
