#Bytecode in Java: What, How and Why?
What is it?
Bytecode is an intermediate, platform-independent representation of a Java program.
It’s generated when Java source code is compiled and stored in .class files.
Unlike machine code, bytecode is not specific to any hardware, allowing it to run on any system with a Java Virtual Machine (JVM).

How does it work?
When we compile Java code, it’s converted into bytecode.
The Java Virtual Machine (JVM) either interprets this bytecode or compiles it into machine code via Just-In-Time (JIT) compilation for execution as a native application.
This enables Java's "write once, run anywhere" capability, making it possible for the same bytecode to run consistently across different hardware and software configurations.

Why is it Called Bytecode?
Bytecode is named for its small instruction units—bytes (8 bits). These byte-sized instructions are compact, efficient, and designed for easy execution by the JVM.

Why is it Important?
Bytecode ensures Java’s cross-platform compatibility, allowing applications to run consistently across various systems.
It also supports security features like the bytecode verifier, which checks for potential issues before execution, making Java more secure than languages that compile directly to machine code.
Simple difference between bytecode and ABI:
bytecode is simply the compiled smart contract program using the solidity compiler
ABI defines the interface for interacting with that bytecode from external sources(off chain)
