This is how the real Sacramento works. The swamp protects itself. Today I attempted to force a vote on my DUI legislation, which would strip legislators of their state cars when they get a DUI. The motion requires a second from my Republican colleague to call a vote. He refused to second in order to save the democrats from having to go on record. I doubt his voters sent him to Sacramento who to protect democrats, but alas here we are.
