The philosophy of CBC is that people were born with their place in life, and it's the job of the school system to separate the wheat from the chaff, so that we don't have hustler children in universities.
It's a form of racism. Darwinian survival for the fittest.

Senior secondary is doing what universities already do, which is allowing kids to specialize. Instead of replacing the curriculum, what we should have done is build arts colleges side by side with TVET and universities.
But why did we go this route of CBC?

@KICDKenya The CBC attaches core competencies, learning outcomes, experiences and inquiry questions to the simple act of jumping. Why ask a kid about the need to jump high, surely? Who thinks like that? Even to morans, you can't ask that question too much because you'll spoil the ceremony.
Normally, a teacher will say "this question cannot be answered by a primary school kid." If they're saying "I cannot answer the question" there's a problem with the curriculum, not with the teacher.

If a trained adult teacher cannot answer a question for kids, why is the question being given to kids in the first place?

CBC Conference 2019 also includes speakers who are mainly in the NGO world. One is in finance, another is in Twaweza which has always been the support voice of the CBC.
It is clear that CBC leans towards the interest of the corporate sector.
No teaching associations or representatives are on the speaking list, echoing my point that the target of the corporations through the CBC is the eventual alienation of teachers from having their professional voice in the work we do. #CBCConference2019
