A2: Agree! Taking it back to my math roots, it's like just checking to see the answer at the end. There are an infinite number of ways to get the answer 2, that doesn't mean that student did the problem correctly. They need to be able to walk through the process. #cisdtigerchat

A6: Yes I see a connection because I believe to be a fluent reader you have to be able to do all on the wheel. Rdg is a process that is built upon over time. As far as what i might need, I will have to wait and see as we go through this curriculum. #cisdtigerchat

@iamsturchie Exactly! Just as we want to pinpoint our teaching to focus on the few areas needing improvement, but also make note of everything going right! #cisdtigerchat

A5- Meaning might be harder to analyze. I teach Kindergarten and sometimes for the middle of the road students, it is hard to decide if the child just guessed right or truly knows. #cisdtigerchat

@RRDiva14 Karen, I feel that finding the time to actually analyze rr has been hard this last year. Being able to analyze allows us to help kids set goals, and it also helps us to shift our teaching so kids meet goals #cisdtigerchat

@iamsturchie But I could make a case where it would be very important to know the independent level to help Ss self select appropriate text, which needs to happen early on. If you know where the Inst level, you can still push them w/o frustration #cisdtigerchat
