The new plan from 🇨🇳 State Council did mention carbon market, but it is exactly as @CpStian wrote in Carbon Pulse: “it should be stressed that the government has committed to all those elements several times every year forover a decade” #CNETS #OCTT

🌏🥂China National ETS celebrates Earth Day 2024 with CEA price hitting record high at CNY 100/t ≈€13 🧐What has triggered the price rally? From my perspective, the most important factor is the recalibration of the #cnets allowances supply which adds on the market bullishness

Possible stricter regulations in #cnets caused recent CEA rally. Special highlights on stricter surplus allowances management- power compliance companies have to sell 45% of their surplus within 2 years or by 2026 their surplus allowances from Phase I & II will taken back 2026

I am happy to share my views with Bloomberg on #CNETS’s Cement new policy. As the expansion of ETS coverage is on the government's work list for 2024, we expect the cement clinker industry to be included in the national ETS this year. For more details, see my previous post👀
