Once a proud Cockney thoroughfare stretching from #BethnalGreen to #Whitechapel, it has undergone a profound cultural transformation, becoming an unfamiliar and unwelcoming area stripped of its original Cockney culture and way of life. Today, it is commonly referred to as #Banglatown, reflecting the predominant #Bangladeshi culture that now defines the area. The once-vibrant community of County Road now faces the same fate that befell Brick Lane. We cannot allow this to happen; we must stand against this outrage! Despite countless requests from #JoeOwens for action, both Walton Labour MP #DanCarden and the two silent #CountyWard councillors have refused to address the crisis unfolding along County Road and beyond. This dereliction of duty and moral responsibility to the historic Scouse community must not go unchallenged. As the 2027 Council Elections in Liverpool approach, the two silent Labour councillors for County Ward must be removed from office and replaced by those opposed to further cultural change and its consequences, much like what happened to the once-proud Cockney East End of London. Failure to act will signal the end of County Road as a proud working-class Scouse community.
