Meeting national parliaments is essential for democratic accountability. I am grateful for the insightful exchange with the Conference of Parliamentary Committees for Union Affairs (#COSAC).
The Euro-Mediterranean partnership is more important than ever as a platform for dialogue and cooperation. National and European members of parliaments are vital partners in this joint effort.
Engaging young people is also key.
Under the #PactfortheMediterranean we are working to establish a Youth Parliamentary Assembly to give young elected representatives a voice in shaping our shared future.

Participating today in the Conference of Parliamentary Committees for Union Affairs of Parliaments of the European Union #COSAC interparliamentary videoconference hosted by the Cyprus Presidency of the Council of the EU.
Our discussions on Europe’s security architecture, the war in Ukraine, developments in the Middle East, and the future of the Euro-Mediterranean partnership come at a critical moment.
For Albania, security in Europe and stability in the Mediterranean are inseparable from confronting state-sponsored terrorism. In this context, the Albanian Parliament will soon take a clear position in response to the activities of the Iranian regime.
Albania remains fully aligned with its European partners in addressing these challenges.
