With the rate I'm getting punctures lately I thought it's best to stock up π¬ #cyclistproblems #ukcyclechat
Had a puncture yesterday, fixed it today. Found what I thought was what caused it, fitted a repaired tube rather than replacing it.
Left it an hour or two to make sure it was ok.
Go back to the bike 20 mins later, it's flat again π #cyclistproblems
I made an announcement earlier on Facebook regarding #LEJOG plans. With the issues with the new bike which I'd never guessed in a million years would happen, it's knocking my confidence and I can't see me starting on the 28th June π #cycling #cyclistproblems #setbacks
LEJOG UPDATE:
Another change made & this will now be the route I use.
I've succumb to the lure of the Lake District & included a night in Keswick. It's a shorter route & now I like it even more π΄ββοΈπ

So tyres are fitted, mudguards are next. Ok, maybe not. They don't fit, the disc brakes get in the way and my tyres I bought are to big.
I give up! ππ
Anything elsd going to go wrong this week! I've have had enough today, I'm going out #cycling #newbike #cyclistproblems π
Over an hour and one full swear tin later, and......π
they might be a bastard to fit, but they glide like butter off a hot knife π

What annoys me most is I already have the Oltre xr1 that needs servicing, the Arcadex which is going to cost a fortune to fix & 2 weeks before setting a date for my LEJOG this happens on a brand new bike!
Am I really that cursed? π #cyclistproblems #cycling #ukcyclechat
I had a great ride on Exmoor yesterday and love the bike. But I'm a little concerned with what's going on with the crank. Yesterday, particularly on the climbs there was a very audible clunking, maybe a split bearing?
So back to the shop with it today π #cycling #cyclistproblems

Been out on the Arcadex. Last time I rode it, it was dropping the chain. Chain looks ok & I've just cleaned it again. I can only think the cables badly stretched or the mech hanger is bent
Whichever, it's not what I want to find 2 days before a gravel sportive #cyclistproblems π«©
Looks like I might be swapping back to the road bike for my next audax, the front brake on the gravel bike still doesn't work. Bit of a nuisance as the route I was going to take has some gravel on it to miss out a rather busy road #cycling #audax #cyclistproblems #ukcyclechat
What I can't fix is the scuff marks on my down tube after last Saturdays fail π₯
That's the 3rd time my paint has been damaged since I've had this bike (frame, forks & headset) π¬ #cycling #cyclistproblems
Ok guys, I'm going out for a ride and I'm not taking any chances. I know at least one of these does work #cycling #garmin #cyclistproblems #IfItsNotOnStrava
Thought I'd pop my new bottle cages on tonight to use on tomorrows audax. But alas no, the would-be-5-minute job isn't to be as the old cages have been on so long the bolts are seized ffs! π #cycling #cyclistproblems #ukcyclechat
Remember I lost a pair of bibshorts last week?
Well, they weren't left in a random hotel somewhere. They fell off the hanger and were down the back of the wardrobe π€¦ββοΈπ€£ #cyclistproblems
I'm missing a pair of cycling shorts, they are my old pair of Le Col bib shorts. They're either stuffed in a bag here somewhere, but I very much doubt that as I empty everything after a trip. Or I've left them on the floor of a hotel room somewhere π€ #cyclistproblems
Well this wasn't how I intended starting my audax π¨ #cyclistproblems
Morning! It's a gloomy start to the weekend in Devon βοΈβοΈ Having coffee and breakfast βοΈ while contemplating going for a bike ride π΄ββοΈπ€

Been out in the mizzle, it's the best we're gonna get with todays weather. Rode the bike to the top of the road and back, no response from my front derailleur, so it's of the shop as soon as I can get it there π§π΄ββοΈπ© #ukcyclechat #cycling #cyclistproblems
Trying to work out why my from mech won't shift to the big ring. Would like to think it's just cable tension but might be the derailleur itself out of line, it doesn't even look right to me. It's only been like it since I fitted the new cable #ukcyclechat #cyclistproblems
The weather's crap so we've moved indoors π§π§
The old cable is out so no going back now π€π¬ #ukcyclechat #cycling #cyclistproblems
I've got new tyres to fit to my new wheels, I got the front mech cable to replace. But first I got to got the new chain to fit and before that YouTube tutorials today to refresh my memory.
What could go wrong? π€ππ€£ #ukcyclechat #cycling #cyclistproblems
